Working in the corporate world isn't for the lame or the weak of heart. Part politics, part diplomat, part cheerleader, part ....well, you get the idea. Most of us didn't graduate with a degree in those things. Finance, yes. Marketing, yes. That other stuff, nah. There's no master playbook for the kind of challenges we face today in the workplace.
There is however a way to master them. Hire a coach who's done your job. Someone who knows and can prod you, ask tough questions, even slightly scary ones, offer suggestions.
